PREVIOUS DESCRIPTION
Smartika is a website that allows users to exchange loans and earn/save on the interests of the invested/withdrawn capital.
Smartika SPA was founded in 2012 on the foundations of an identical project called Zopa Italia (operating between 2008 and 2009) and is an authorized, regulated and supervised payment institution from the Bank of Italy.

The site currently has over 5,100 users who have made a total of 2,700 loans for a value of around 15 million euros: not bad as statistics!
As already mentioned, Smartika's service allows private citizens to make or request private loans without having to resort to banks and this, as you can imagine, is a good thing for both the lender and the recipient:
- the lender receives a higher interest rate than the one it would receive from the bank if it had deposited the money with it;
- The payer receives interest on the money received that is far below those he would have to pay if the loan was disbursed by the bank.
In these extra considerations, we go deeper into Smartika's operations, though, given the delicacy of the subject matter, we prefer to reliably report the F.A.Q. present on the site itself (we only retrieve those relating to the "PRESTATORS" as a figure that they earn) in order to avoid gross errors that could adversely affect the use of the service.

Who can participate in Smartika?
The Smartika Lender must be an individual over 18 years resident in Italy, possesses an Italian Tax Code and a current account with or without coinage in Italy.

How much is the minimum and maximum I can lend?
You can lend money from 100.00 € up to a maximum of 50.000,00 €.

What performance can I expect?
Smartika is a dynamic market, it is not a bank, the performance level is not predetermined. The performance you can get depends on your fixed rates, the markets you decide to lend, and the possible insolvency cases.

Soon my money to a single person?
No. To reduce your risk, your money is distributed on average between 50 different applicants with minimum tranches of € 10.00.
For example, if you pay 1,000.00 € your money will be distributed over 50 applicants in a tranche of 20.00 €.
This protects you if one of your applicants becomes defaulted.

How soon will my money be?
You have to create a loan offer, choosing the amount, the rate you want and the duration, and then funding it with a bank transfer so your money is made available to the applicants.
The platform combines your bid with applicants' requests, adding to those of other providers until the amount of the loan is reached. Each lender receives the performance he has set for his bid, the claimant obtains a loan at a rate that is the weighted average of the rates resulting from the loan offer.

What are Smartika Markets?
The Smartika Markets group the Claimants according to the risk profile (A +, A, B, C, K where A + is the lowest risk profile) and according to the loan duration (12, 24, 36, 48 months) .
So are 20 markets to choose from (A + 12, A + 24, A + 36, A + 48, A12, A24, A36, ...).
When choosing the market to borrow, keep in mind that lending to higher-profile applicants involves lower risk, but you could get higher returns by offering B or C applicants. In addition, generally, the longer the loan life is, the higher the risk and the rate of return.

Can I lend only on some markets?
Yes, you can only invest in some markets based on your risk appetite and opportunities offered by the market at that time.
You can do it when creating your offer (using the "Loan Maturity" feature) and at any time by going to modify your existing bid (in MySmartika / My offers / Current bidding).

How do I determine my rates?
The rate to which the applicant is entitled is based on the expected rate of return + the expected rate of insolvency + Smartika commissions.
You then have to decide which yield, before taxes, you want to get. It will automatically add the expected rate of insolvency, which we provide for forecasts for each market, and the Smartika commission.
It is also important to point out that the rate you choose is an annual rate applied on the capital actually paid. Since you monthly receive a portion of what you lent, you will have to re-loan this part to get an annual performance equal to the rate you chose. With the Auto Loan feature, the sums received are re-offered under the same conditions as your last bid.

Can I know the identity of my applicants?
You can see a set of data on your applicants, but for security reasons you do not name, last name, address, and e-mail address.
You can see the nickname, age, province, how much they borrowed and for what purpose.

If my money was borrowed, can I get it back in advance?
Applicants monthly repay the borrowed sums and you can withdraw those sums as soon as you are credited.
If you have an urgent need, you can use the RientroRapido service that will allow you to sell your credits in real time to other lenders.
The service incurs a commission for Smartika of 15 € + 1% of the value of the loans sold.

Do I have to pay a commission as a lender?
Lenders pay an annual fee of 1% of the loan amount paid to applicants and has not yet paid back.
You will not be asked for anything you did not pay.
The commission is calculated on a daily basis and is deducted monthly from the balance of your Payment Account.
For example, a lender who lends in a year € 1,000.00 to 7% earns € 70.00 of interest if the entire amount is always borrowed and repayed.
The fee due, equal to 1%, will be 10,00 €.
Please note: If an applicant extinguishes his loan in advance, the lender will not be required to pay the part of the loan repayed in advance.
